SponsorA memorial mission with a warm plate and an open heart
Cpt. Isaac's Angels exists to carry the memory of Cpt./Dr. Isaac D. Walkup through practical care. By providing local law enforcement with warm, home-cooked meals, the mission offers comfort, gratitude, and a reminder that they are seen, supported, and never alone.
Turning sorrow into comfort for others through meals that nourish the body and encourage the soul.
In Honor Of Cpt. Isaac
Our Mission
We provide meals to county law enforcement as a practical way to say thank you for the long hours, difficult calls, and daily sacrifices they make.
Every meal carries a story. This work keeps Isaac's name active in the world through kindness, service, and care for others.
Local families, churches, and businesses have a place in this mission. Compassion grows when a community serves together.
The Heart Behind The Work
In December 2021, Cpt./Dr. Isaac D. Walkup died by suicide. To carry forward his memory, his family created Cpt. Isaac's Angels as a way to turn grief into comfort for others.
During difficult holidays, after stressful overnight calls, and in the middle of demanding weeks, the mission provides deputies and support services with warm, home-cooked meals. It is a way of offering relief, remembrance, and a little something the organization calls a food hug.
Cpt. Isaac's Angels is about more than meals. It is about honoring Isaac's life by caring for the mental health and well-being of those who serve our community every day.
How We Show Up
Individual donors and business sponsors can help fund meals for entire shifts, stations, or local law enforcement teams.
Our Story
Tim and Mell share the story of their family, Isaac’s accomplishments, the night a kind Sheriff’s Deputy carried devastating news, and how that moment opened their eyes to the unseen burdens carried by local law enforcement. Cpt. Isaac’s Angels grew from that grief into a way to give back with warmth, food, and gratitude.
